We still have an eleven mile course- after multiple world records being broken the track is holding up well. We did have a weather front come through today with strong winds causing a white out which caused the track to be closed for the day in the late afternoon. The track is expected to be open again early tomorrow morning (Tuesday).

We have an 11 mile course at the time of writing this. We are Go! Go! Go! We don't expect any changes as the weather is looking good. THe salt has held up really well after speed week and the course looks great!

Again we have a crew out on the salt doing some prep work etc. The salt condiotns a the moment are very good. There was a little weather that went through the area just prior to the track set up that made the track damp. At he present time, we have an excellent track (8 miles) that is hard and smooth. This salt will barely stick the the soles of your shoes. The first 3ish miles is still a little damp, but we expect it to dry out. We will not be out there again before the event preparation, however we expect to hear reports leading up to, and during SCTA's Speed Week.

We have a crew out at the salt again and this time we have 11 miles of dry salt. The salt conditions appear great for this year!!!! More information will come after the holiday.

After running on the salt for 3 days, we had 7 miles of great course. The track was good to drag and there were no pressure ridges and by the time we left there was only patchy puddles around the end of the access road. We will be out there again over the 4th July holiday and will put more information up then.

We currently have a crew out on the salt dragging and establishing our course. When they began dragging on Friday (2nd) they had almost 11 miles of premium salt. Saturday saw the wind change and reduce the usable salt to about 5 miles as water was blown back across the track- however the crew was able to establish a solid track prior to that happening. Though there is still some time before the event- and knowing Bonneville anything can (and will) happen, compared to this time last year it appears that we will have a great course! The crew will continue to be out there and assess the conditions for the rest of this week, and again at the end of this month. We will also be returning in July (twice) to continue with our course prep.

The salt has been drying out well and it appears that there is no standing water on the course. We did hear from the BLM yesterday that they are expecting a big thunderstorm over the holiday weekend and this is good news because we plan to begin dragging the course and the moisture will help move the salt.

The latest report we have is thatthe salt is drying. There are some damp spots in a few places but the course we use appears to be fairly dry. Denis Manning, will be checking the salt conditions himself early next week so we can pass on a more detailed report.
