August 3rd 2010:
We have 11 miles of salt- WooHoo! BUB went out onto the flats over the weekend meeting with MIke Cook who is preparing the course. Our current conditions on the International course are 11 mile of dry salt with a small damp patch between miles 2 and 3 of the long course, though we don't expect this to be an issue. Our Mountain course is also dry and prep will be completed on that course immediately following Speed Week.
We will not be receiving any more first hand salt updates until the days following Speed Week (ends on August 20th), though we may have some second-hand info from participants that may also be attending Speed Week. We'll keep you update as we know information.
